After reading it I was inspired to keep a journal, writing each morning about feeling grateful or thankful for whatever was consuming my thoughts; the good, the bad, and the ugly. The process of writing this journal of gratitude was soothing and helped me gain perspective and become more thoughtful.
I know that many people are suffering tremendous loss and hardship; physical, financial, emotional and spiritual during these days. I have no desire to minimize anyone’s anguish or distress. My hope is that we come out of this crisis a better people and live in a kinder, more serene world.
I am grateful to live in Manchester, in Connecticut, in the USA, on this planet, in this universe. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this blog with residents of Manchester, past and present; and friends and family near and far.
Over the next few days, (weeks?), (months?) and until the town has re-opened, I will be sharing my feelings of gratitude for specific characteristics of life in Manchester, CT.
