Visit Manchester Green with Town Historian Susan Barlow. Meet at the Senior Center front steps, 549 Middle Turnpike East. Plenty of parking in the back of the building (enter from the Vernon Street side). The walk will take about 1-1/2 hours, visiting the Woodbridge farmstead and eighteenth-century barn and strolling through the former location of the Woodbridge Tavern. Info about local history: www.manchesterhistory.org. Rain or shine, but extreme weather cancels. This is one of the 23 walks in 2023 celebrating Manchester’s 200th birthday. The next walks are also at 1:00 p.m.: Sunday, August 6, at Buckland Cemetery, 1210 Tolland Turnpike, and Saturday, August 26, starting at Washington School, 94 Cedar Street.
