Free Rail Trail Hike Saturday, March 5, at 1:00 p.m., starting at 146 Hartford Rd., exploring the route of the former railroad, along South End streets at first, viewing property recently acquired by the Town of Manchester, and then on to Center Springs Park and the footbridge over Bigelow Brook. About one-and-a-half hours round trip. The Town Historian, Susan Barlow, will comment on the history of the railroad. Sponsored by the Manchester Land Trust. No dogs, please. Extreme weather cancels.
