Memorial Day Cemetery Flagging

The Manchester (Ct.) Memorial Day Parade Committee is looking for volunteers to place American Flags at veterans graves in East Cemetery on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023. Individuals and groups are welcomed. Flagging begins at 8:00 a.m. and will continue until approximately 1:00 p.m. A second wave will begin at 5:00 p.m. and continues until dusk. Volunteers should meet at the maintenance building at the Harrison Street entrance to the cemetery and should bring a screwdriver or similar tool to put a hole into the ground for placement of the flag. Volunteers will  be expected to act in a respectful manner paying tribute to those who gave their lives for our Country.
