Annie Le was a Yale graduate student who was murdered on September 8, 2009. The case gained international attention since Annie was a Yale student who appeared to vanish into thin air until she was found deceased in a wall in a research building where she worked. Annie was killed by a co-worker. The case has aired on Investigation Discovery, Forensic Files 2, the Oprah Network, and Snap Chat, along with numerous interviews and podcasts.
Lisa M. Dadio, an Assistant Dean and the Director of the Center for Advanced Policing, will present fascinating information about this story. She is also the Program Coordinator for the Master of Science Degree in Criminal Investigations at the University of New Haven and is a retired police Lieutenant with the New Haven Police Department in Connecticut. She spent approximately 16 years in the detective division as a detective, Sergeant, and then Lieutenant, commanding the Major Crimes Unit. She spent approximately four years in the crime scene unit as a detective, processing over two hundred crime scenes ranging from vandalism to homicides.
