23 Walks:Buckland Cemetery

All welcome to a tour of the Buckland cemetery on Sunday, August 6, at 1:00 p.m., to view gravestones and hear commentary about the cemetery’s history. The cemetery is located at 1210 Tolland Turnpike – drive up the long lane to the fence at the back of the cemetery and take a right or left to park on the paved roadway. Look for the bicentennial pennants. Town Historian Susan Barlow and Gravestone Network President Ruth Shapleigh Brown will lead the tour. Gravestones include those for members of the Buckland, Burnham, Olds, Risley, Keeney, and Hilliard families. Rain or shine, but heavy rain cancels. This is one of the 23 walks in 2023, part of the celebration of Manchester’s 200^th birthday.
