48th annual history tour of the former silk mills, employee housing, Cheney Hall, and other landmarks of the Cheney Brothers National Historic Landmark District (CBNHLD), with two members of the CBNHLD commission. It is about two hours, slow pace. One of the 23 free walks in 2023 commemorating the Town’s 200th birthday. This popular walk focuses on silk manufacturing, labor relations, and the Cheneys as industrialists and community members. See all 23 walks in this online booklet.
